Healy strike sinks Danes

Northern Ireland maintained their faint hopes of qualifying for Euro 2008 after coming from behind to beat Denmark 2-1 in Belfast.

Things looked bleak for Nigel Worthington's men shortly after half-time when Niclas Bendtner stabbed home from close range.

However, the home side never threw in the towel and got back on level terms when Warren Feeney headed Chris Brunt's cross past Thomas Sorensen.

The contest was illuminated 10 minutes from the end when David Healy's superb chip nestled inside the far post - moving him past Davor Suker's 12-goal qualifying record.

The victory means Northern Ireland can still qualify, although they will still need to win in Spain and hope Sweden lose at home to Latvia in order to feature in Austria and Switzerland next summer.

Folding chair in hand, driver shows new side

"You crazy?" Montoya said.

You can hit one of the wrestlers over the head with a chair, he's told. So there Montoya was earlier this month, a celebrity cornerman during a TNA wrestling event when chaos, as so often happens, ensued.

That Montoya was in the middle of this concocted confrontation shows how well he has adapted to NASCAR. Racing matters - it's why Montoya runs hard and has been criticized by some competitors - but entertainment has become paramount. Driver personalities, engaging commercials and unique personal appearances bolster a driver's popularity.

Montoya's appearance at the event shows he's willing to display a side fans didn't see when he raced overseas. Personal appearances in Formula One, Montoya says, mainly were visits to a suite to greet corporate executives - not standing face to face with an angry man more than a foot taller and 100 pounds heavier.

First-class by caravan

Camping and caravanning has reached a new level: it no longer means roughing it.

These resort-style parks, often set in landscaped gardens, offer everything from $20-a-night campsites to $300-plus luxury villas.

Campers need not even venture outside the resort. Operators are going for the one-stop concept, with many facilities and entertainment available on-site. And these parks are attracting a new range of campers.

"We have judges and solicitors, we would never have seen those people at a caravan park 20 years ago," New South Wales caravan park owner Ian Beadel says.

"These people are finding it is meeting their needs."

Beadel also runs Australia's, possibly the world's, only caravan park training school.

Disregard test times, says Coulthard

Mark Webber's Red Bull car has again topped the test times in Spain but teammate David Coulthard has warned against unrealistic expectations at next month's Australian F1 Grand Prix.

For the second time in official testing Webber set the pace, working through the team's program in Jerez and relegating the Williams of Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima to second and third.

But Coulthard, the most experienced driver in F1, said those slick times were unlikely to translate to race pace at Albert Park.

"I've done lots of testing over the years and some of those tests have been fantastic and some of them have been s***," Coulthard told AAP.

"I wouldn't read anything into it - I think that anyone who expects anything different than McLaren or Ferrari to be setting the pace at the beginning of the season, I would be extremely surprised.

European GP - Saturday - Team Quotes

Fernando Alonso (2nd, 1:31.741): "The most important news is obviously that Lewis is OK. During my final qualifying lap I had a big moment at Turn Five and I am really lucky that I got out of it without spinning. However it cost me more than half a second so I am pleased to be on the front row. We have made good progress during the weekend and my car in contrast to yesterday was working really well. I am looking forward to the race tomorrow."

Lewis Hamilton (10th, 1:33.833): "I'm absolutely fine and we will see later if I am able to race tomorrow. Everybody has been looking after me really well. We know what caused the accident and I'm just pleased that everything is OK and I really hope I can race tomorrow."

Ron Dennis, Team Principal: "The main thing is that Lewis is absolutely fine with no injuries and no broken bones.

GM's $100,000 Corvette: Okay, I'm "Sold" On It

I'll admit it, I've never really been a big Corvette fan. Don't get me wrong, I clearly see the car's appeal. But for my money, the 'vette has always been a solid sports car that failed to blow my doors off. I know, you 'vette fans are reading this and saying, "You are wacked Toyota Phil."

Well my attitude may be changing.

Chevy has just announced the 2009 Corvette ZR1 will be GM's .
