Low Cost Shared-Ride Shuttle Introduced at London Airports Nov. 1

LONDON, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Travelers to London, where a taxi between airport and hotel can cost a heart-stopping $125, are about to get a break.

Beginning Nov. 1, National Express Group, the leading UK transportation company, will introduce dot2dot, a shared-ride airport transfer service running between Heathrow and Gatwick airports and central London hotels.

The new service, priced at 22 pounds ($44.66) per person, is the UK's first large-scale airport shuttle. With a maximum of four stops on any trip, it is designed to reduce the hassle as well as the expense of getting to and from the airport.

The UK company hopes to get a boost in the North American market through its affiliation with GO Airport Shuttle, a consortium of airport shuttle providers that service more than 100 airports throughout the United States and Canada.

Storm clouds gather as Clinton's campaign approaches D-Day

But there is bad news on that front too. According to MSNBC and Associated Press, which have been surveying the super-delegates on a regularly, about 25 undecided super-delegates have plumped for Obama in the past week and there have also been defections from the Clinton camp to the Obama camp.

The third problem is her continuing money woes. Clinton was spending most of Monday in Washington holding "low dollar" fund-raising rallies, which are designed to get her rank-and-file supporters to part with a bit more cash.

Meanwhile, Obama is raking in record amounts from donors online, enabling him to outspend her on advertising in this crucial week.

The dilemma for Clinton now is how to wage this last stand. She must choose her words against Obama carefully or risk having them appear in Republican TV ads later.

Hillary's Mutnemom!

Dickerson vs. Maguire: Did Karl Rove dissemble to the special prosecutor by not revealing he'd talked to Time's Matt Cooper about Valerie Plame? Slate's John Dickerson (Cooper's former Time colleague) suspects yes. JustOneMinute's Tom Maguire tries to shoot holes in Dickerson's account.

Rove apparently claims he didn't remember talking to Cooper--it was only when Time reporter Viveca Novak tipped off his lawyer that his memory was jogged. Dickerson says it's implausible that Rove would forget the Cooper conversation after:

a) Rove wrote an ass-covering email about it;

b) Cooper wrote a story saying unnamed "government officials" had leaked to him about Plame;

c) Washington made a big fuss over the Plame disclosure;

d) Plame's husband specifically accused Rove of outing her;

e) Bush's press secretary was barraged with questions about Plame leaks and seemingly denied Rove was involved;

f) Rove received a subpoena with Matt Cooper's name on it; and

g) Cooper made headlines by almost going to jail for refusing to talk.

Minnesota Wild defenseman Nick Schultz signed a $21 million, six-year contract extension Saturday, a few months before he would have hit the market as an unrestricted free agent.

Schultz, 25, who has served as the Wild's captain for January and February, is playing this season on a one-year, $1.85 million deal. His 428 career games are the third-most in team history.

''He's been steady. He's been solid for us. He's been growing as a player, too. He's been playing much better,'' coach Jacques Lemaire said after practice at Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis.

Schultz, a second-round pick by the Wild in their first draft in 2000, has 18 goals and 55 assists with only one game missed to injury in his six-year career. He leads the club in blocked shots with 102 and has one goal and 10 assists this season.
